Sample results received on 20 January, 2026. showed manganese levels of 1.2 mg/L. This level is above the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) short term health advisory of 0.3 mg/L for infants under six months old.
In the last election, the ballot for the office of Commissioner, Position 2 was vacant. The Revised Code of Washington (RCW 42.12.080) requires that the vacancy be filled within 90 days of the election.
As part of that process, the names of known nominees must be publicly posted for 15 days. During that period, other nominations will be accepted.
The nominee must be a registered voter residing in Lewis County Water-Sewer District 6.
Anyone wishing to submit their nomination is asked to visit the District office, provide contact information, proof of residency in the District, and proof of voter registration in the District.
After reviewing all nominations, the two current Commissioners will then appoint a qualified person to fill the vacant position.

Commissioner Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at 12:00 pm in the district office.
