The absense of fire hydrants on Tanglewood Drive has been a back-burner issue for quite some time, but no longer! Thanks go to the contractor and Operations team for getting this accomplished in a professional manner even though working conditions were far from ideal at times.
In addition to the three hydrants on Tanglewood, three other hydrants were replaced during the last year to make them fully compliant with Fire District requirements.
The Water and Sewer District now has fourteen fully functional hydrants.
The Lewis County Department of Drinking Water presented the “Grace Under Pressure” award on May 21, 2024. This prestigious award was in recognition of his hard work and dedication in providing safe and reliable drinking water to District 6. See a description of this award here.
